Bagh-Bakri (Tiger-Goat)

This is the popular two players strategy board game in the rural India, Nepal and Bangladesh. It is known as "Bagh Bakri" in Hindi, "Bagh Chal" in Nepal, "Sher Bakar" in Punjab, "Bagha Chheli" in Orissa (Odisha), "Bagh Bondi" in West Bengal and Bangladesh, "Adu Puli Aatam" in Tamil Nadu, "Adu Huli" in Karnataka. Here tigers try to kill goats and goats try to block tigers.

This game support single player modes (where the system is the other player) and two players modes (both offline and online).

Rules of the game

1. It is a 2 player game. One player has to play as the tiger and other one should play as the goat. When you play alone, the device is the other player.

2. There are 4 tigers placed on the board. As the levels progress, the number of goats may or may not be reduced. There are 25 places on the board, where the tigers and goats can be placed. The goats and tigers can only move along the lines of the board.

3. At the start of the game, 4 tigers are placed at the four corners of the board. Then 4 goats will be placed by the player playing as the goat at any of the empty places on the board. After that the tiger's and goat's turn will come alternately.

4. A goat can be placed at an empty place by dragging it from the goat shed at the right bottom corner of the board. Goats should be placed on the board until all the goats in the goat shed are exhausted. The number of remaining goats in the goat shed is displayed inside the goat shed. After the goats are exhausted, they can be moved from one place to other on the board.

5. Tigers have to be moved from one place to another on the board during its turn.

6. At a time, only 1 entity (either tiger or goat) can be moved.

7. A tiger can move to an adjacent empty place. It can kill a goat by jumping over it, if there is an empty space after the same goat in a straight line. The tiger will be placed at that empty place after killing the goat. A tiger cannot jump over another tiger. When a goat is killed, it goes the tiger's mouth at the right upper corner of the board and the number of goats killed by the tiger is displayed there.

8. If there are purple lines on the board, a tiger can't kill a goat along those lines.

9. A goat can only move to an adjacent empty place. It leaves the board once killed. It cannot jump over any tiger or goat.

10. The tiger wins if it kills 5 goats. The goat wins if all four of the tigers can't move to any place.

Game Modes

In this application, one can play in Single Player Mode, where one player will be the person playing it and the other player will be the device. In this mode, one can play as Tiger or Goat.

If two people want to play the game physically, Two Players Mode should be selected, where one player has to play as tiger and the other player has to play as goat.

On the first screen of this application, there are 4 buttons ‘Play as tiger’, ‘Play as Goat’ and ‘Two Players Mode (On The Same Device)’ and 'Two Players Mode (Online)'. First two are for single player mode and the last two are the two player modes.

For the 'Two Players Mode (Online)' mode, you can play online with any other player. For that you have to select a free game room and then your role (tiger or goat). If already there is a player in the game room, you can start the game otherwise you have to wait for another player to join in that game room.

Règles du jeu

1. C'est un jeu à 2 joueurs. Un joueur doit jouer en tant que tigre et un autre doit jouer en tant que chèvre. Lorsque vous jouez seul, l'appareil est l'autre joueur.

4. Une chèvre peut être placée dans un endroit vide en la faisant glisser depuis le hangar à chèvres dans le coin inférieur droit de la planche. Les chèvres doivent être placées sur la planche jusqu'à ce que toutes les chèvres du poulailler soient épuisées. Le nombre de chèvres restantes dans le hangar à chèvres est affiché à l'intérieur du hangar à chèvres. Une fois les chèvres épuisées, elles peuvent être déplacées d'un endroit à l'autre sur la planche.

5. Les tigres doivent être déplacés d'un endroit à un autre sur le plateau pendant son tour.

6. À la fois, une seule entité (tigre ou chèvre) peut être déplacée.

7. Un tigre peut se déplacer vers un endroit vide adjacent. Il peut tuer une chèvre en sautant par-dessus, s'il y a un espace vide après la même chèvre en ligne droite. Le tigre sera placé à cet endroit vide après avoir tué la chèvre. Un tigre ne peut pas sauter par-dessus un autre tigre. Lorsqu'une chèvre est tuée, elle passe par la bouche du tigre dans le coin supérieur droit du plateau et le nombre de chèvres tuées par le tigre y est affiché.

8. S'il y a des lignes violettes sur le plateau, un tigre ne peut pas tuer une chèvre le long de ces lignes.

9. Une chèvre ne peut se déplacer que vers un endroit vide adjacent. Il quitte le plateau une fois tué. Il ne peut sauter par-dessus aucun tigre ou chèvre.

10. Le tigre gagne s'il tue 5 chèvres. La chèvre gagne si les quatre tigres ne peuvent se déplacer nulle part.

Modes de jeu

Dans cette application, on peut jouer en mode solo, où un joueur sera la personne qui le jouera et l'autre joueur sera l'appareil. Dans ce mode, on peut jouer en tant que tigre ou chèvre.

Si deux personnes veulent jouer au jeu physiquement, le mode Deux joueurs doit être sélectionné, où un joueur doit jouer en tant que tigre et l'autre joueur doit jouer en tant que chèvre.

Sur le premier écran de cette application, il y a 4 boutons «Jouer comme tigre», «Jouer comme chèvre» et «Mode deux joueurs (sur le même appareil)» et «Mode deux joueurs (en ligne)». Les deux premiers sont pour le mode solo et les deux derniers sont les modes deux joueurs.

Pour le mode 'Two Players Mode (Online)', vous pouvez jouer en ligne avec n'importe quel autre joueur. Pour cela, vous devez sélectionner une salle de jeux gratuite puis votre rôle (tigre ou chèvre). S'il y a déjà un joueur dans la salle de jeu, vous pouvez commencer la partie sinon vous devez attendre qu'un autre joueur se joigne à cette salle de jeu.
